Meet the Seven Members of BTS: A Fan’s Guide to Names, Music, and Korean Cheers
Maybe one voice caught your attention. Maybe a friend sent you a performance and now you want to put names to the faces. I’m a fan too, and I like having a small place to start. Here is a guide to all seven members, with a listening idea for each and a Korean cheer you can try aloud. The portraits below document a White House visit on May 31, 2022. Ages are international ages as of November 5, 2026.

You can get to know them at your own pace
You do not need to memorize every era or watch everything at once. Pick one release, keep the name beside it, and come back to the group’s music afterward. The listening suggestions here are personal prompts rather than a ranking of the members.
Today’s Korean — 정국 오빠 사랑해요!
In a fan comment or cheer, 정국 오빠 사랑해요! 너무 멋있어요! expresses affection and excitement. 사랑해요 means ‘I love you,’ while 너무 멋있어요 can mean ‘You’re so amazing’ or ‘You look so cool,’ depending on the moment. You can use a member’s name to make the cheer specific.
What does 오빠 add?
오빠 is conventionally used by a woman addressing an older male. In fandom it can carry an affectionate tone, but it will not match every speaker’s age or relationship. A cheer can also use the name directly: 정국 사랑해요! Read the romanization as a guide, then listen to the Korean audio and copy the rhythm.
A tiny listening exercise
Listen to 정국 오빠 사랑해요 first, pause, and say it once. Then add 너무 멋있어요. The audio is a synthetic Korean reading made for this language lesson. It is not a recording of a BTS member.
